Cheetah are not doing well. Everyone knows about their fabled speed and agility, but few realise quite how fragile they are. Many of us have seen them in zoo’s, but there are so few in the wild. Whilst visiting a neighboring reserve in South Africa I was privileged to meet this captive female, note the radio collar around her neck. With luck, her offspring will help bring the Cheetah back from the edge.

    A beautiful animal. We got close to some cheetahs at the Africat Foundation in Namibia a few years ago. That was a wonderful experience. Thanks for posting.
