Great Citizen Science Featured in the Biologist Magazine

Just a quick post to share perhaps the biggest success so far for the Year of Citizen Science.

I’ve been trying hard to get the idea out there and to motivate people to give it a go, but without an awful lot of success. So I was really chuffed when out of the blue, the editor of The Biologist gave me free rein to choose ten of my favourite projects for an upcoming article.

The hardest part was undoubtedly whittling it down to just ten. (Plenty of material for few more articles then…!)

You can jump straight to the full article on page 27, here. There’s also a nice column on the subject from the editor.

Lastly, special thanks to all the scientists who gave up their time and offered photographs. Keep doing what you’re doing.

The Biologist is the magazine of The Society of Biology.
