London to Istanbul: Punkt in Review

Less than 24 hours before we left for London to Istanbul, the nice guys at Luxson got in touch with an offer to use their new expedition tracking and blogging software. Having seen it being used to huge success by two guys walking home from Mongolia, we jumped at the chance.

Punkt is a clever bit of software that allows you to upload your location on to an online map. Better yet, you can upload photographs, videos and blog posts, each tagged to a specific location. In essence this allows you to communicate your journey from the field back to an audience anywhere in the world with an internet connection.

The image below successfully sums up a journey that took us over two months. You can click on it to travel to the Punkt website and browse each entry anywhere between London and Istanbul. You might also want to read about the top six Punkts from Europe’s Wild Places.
