Having wanted to head further North for some time, in early 2014 I was lucky enough to get the chance to spend a couple of week on Svalbard. Living on the snow shrouded archipelago with vast glaciers, sheer cliffs, developing skills with old and new friends, creates an immense sense of respect for the vast and vulnerable Arctic ecosystem. Huge thanks to the experience and guidance of the chaps at Northern Exposure for making it possible.

Out for a walk on the Longyear glacier, it was a bit nippy.
