Trees for Cities

I’m a conservationist and I live in London. Many might call that a handicap, but far from it. London has some of the oldest and most beautifully cared for wild places in the country – the Royal Parks. Not to mention Wimbledon, Blackheath and Clapham Commons, Epping Forest, Kew Gardens, Watling Chase and the list goes on.

As part of my Year of Citizen Science I’m trying to embrace volunteer conservation projects, closer to home. What better way than with a charity that quite simply does what it says on the tin – planting more trees in cities – Trees for Cities.

I spent a wonderful frosty day with them earlier in the month planting dozens of trees in a park near Redbridge. Get in touch if you would like to come along next time.
